We offer two formats of this educational activity:
First session topic: During the session, unique fragments of everyday life and household traditions of the Klaipėda Region are presented, with particular focus on the culinary heritage of Minor Lithuania. The period from the early 17th century to the early 20th century is reviewed. Participants are briefly introduced to the daily life of Klaipėda Region residents (homesteads, crafts), which shaped their eating habits and culinary traditions. Special attention is given to traditional food preparation tools. The session takes place in the East Prussian manor complex, within the ethnographic exhibition collected by manor owner Hugo Šojus, providing an excellent opportunity to present authentic household items from the Klaipėda Region and explain their purpose and history. During the activity, participants are treated to dishes from the Lietuvininkai culinary heritage. Guests can taste palaunagės treats and are invited to enjoy šišioniškiai kafija (coffee), tija (tea), and cake or puceliai (doughnuts).
