Toys and games have long held great educational significance for children. They have been passed down from generation to generation and have reached us today. What were those first toys that sparked the imagination of both children and adults, nurtured the young, and prepared them for adult life?

During this educational activity, participants will not only learn about the history of toys but also play with reconstructed traditional toys. We will discuss how ancient toys differ from those made today, talk about the materials they were created from, and discover their meaning and purpose in the past. The session encourages imagination and draws attention to the surrounding environment, which is rich in the simplest forms of toys.

In the practical part of the educational activity, participants will create a traditional toy.

The educational program is suitable for preschool children and students in grades 1–4.
